A recent article on Mashable.com revealed an incredible new technology that could be released as early as this February! The product, simply known as The Leap, is an amazing intuitive way to interact with your computer. No more keyboard and mouse needed with The Leap!
“We really wanted to build a device that would actually be leaps and bounds better at doing a lot of things that most people want to do with their computers,” says Leap Motion CEO Michael Buckwald. “And in order to do that, you need to be able to track fingers, and you need to be able to do that at a deep, centimeter level.”
“If you want to make a cup, any five-year-old can take a piece of clay and make something that resembles a cup,” Buckwald says. “But on the computer, the process is very difficult.”
That’s right! This device tracks your finger and hands to allow you grab, move, touch and interact with your computer all by just moving your hands. 3D animation and design has never been easier!
I think this technology will speed up the process of new product design and development by allowing designers to create more intuitively than ever!
